North Coast Tour is a tour of Dublin's northern coastline including visits to the remarkable Casino at Marino, Malahide Castle and a stop at the picturesque fishing village of Howth.
The Casino at Marino is one of the finest 18th century neo-classical buildings in Europe. It was designed by Sir William Chambers as a pleasure house for Lord Charlemont in 1759 and contains 16 finely decorated rooms, endlessly rich in subtlety and design.
Malahide Castle dates from the 12th century and is set amid 250 acres of parkland and gardens. Take a self guided tour and learn the fascinating history of the Talbot family. You also get a chance to stop for light refreshment in the coffee shop.
You then continue through the Heritage town of Malahide and pass some of the most magnificent coastal scenery to Howth Harbour. Crossing the nearby summit of Howth Head you will have a panoramic view of the huge expanse of Dublin Bay with its backdrop of the Dublin and Wicklow mountains. This view is regarded as one of the world's great seascapes.
